The original english text by Jules Nilsson has been translated into Swedish by Lena Öhrström so that the tale of The Hounds of Falsterbo can be enjoyed by children and dog lovers in Sweden. This special Swedish edition has been created in a hardback format with 32 full-colour paper pages and was first launched in 2015.

This elegant book explores seventeen chairs from seven different countries from the 1600s to the present day. The author shares the chairs’ memories of the often fascinating lives they have led and of the people who have lived with them. Written with knowledge, wit and great affection by Art Historian and Curator Gun Bjerkander Handberg.

In October 2017 author Gun Bjerkander Handberg began a historic chair blog on Wordpress as a complement to her Please Be Seated book series. Over the years this monthly blog has featured all manner of chairs and has attracted readers all over the world from Mongolia to Mexico, Syria to Sweden. Chairs are clearly loved and cherished far and wide. This blog anthology is a collection of some of those most memorable tales of historic chairs.
